Bogus Basin

Bogus Basin is a non-profit ski resort located 16 miles (26 km) north of Boise, Idaho
It was founded in 1942 and has grown to become the largest ski area in Idaho with 2,600 acres (1,100 ha) of skiable terrain
The base elevation is 6,500 feet (2,000 m), while the summit reaches 8,800 feet (2,700 m
There are over 60 runs ranging from beginner to advanced levels
The longest run is 3 miles (4.8 km
Snowfall averages 300 inches per year and there are 10 lifts including two high speed quads
Bogus Basin also offers night skiing on Fridays and Saturdays until 9:00 pm during peak season as well as tubing hills for fun family activities
