Dr. Ben Mackin graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2003
He worked at various animal hospitals in San Diego, Boulder and Denver before moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2004
He was an associate veterinarian for friend and mentor Scott Dolginow until 2006 when he purchased Carbondale Animal Hospital
Ben has a truly compassionate, caring, and small-town practical vision of animal care that can accomplish all the medical and surgical capabilities necessary in an intimate, welcoming hospital
In 2022, Ben took on a new role as owner/advisor while taking time off to travel and spend time with his family; currently not seeing patients
