Our story begins on June 1st, 1983 when Dr. Larry Knight & Dr. William Wheat established Animal Care Center in Hammond, LA - In 1988, Dr. Darryl Bubrig joined the practice & in 1990 purchased a portion of the practice - In 2001, Pet Care Center opened as sister location in Ponchatoula, LA - Animal Care Center was remodeled & expanded into full service hospital in 2006 - Offer wide range of services such as surgery, internal medicine, grooming & boarding - Fully stocked pharmacy with latest medications & supplements - Advanced services include anesthetic monitoring equipment/ECG/surgical laser/oxygen therapy - Doctors attend continuing education conferences on state and national levels - Support staff attends routine meetings for new practices/pro
