Allgood Animal Hospital

Dr. Don Allgood made a trip to Burlington in March 1957 to purchase the veterinary practice of the late Dr. R.V Beard
The practice was re-opened at 2535 Mt. Pleasant Street on June 18, 1957 and moved to a new site on Highway 61 North at the beginning of January 1958
In autumn 1972, Dr. Allgood built his practice at its current location on Johannsen Drive
Dr. Rita Lesczynski was hired as an associate in 1975 and purchased the practice in 2003 when Dr. Allgood officially retired
Iowa State University recognized Dr. Allgood with a Stange Alumni Award for distinguished service in veterinary medicine
Now run by Drs. Lesczynski, Smith, and Schinstock; providing sensitive quality medical care for companion animals
Conveniently located off Roosevelt Avenue (Highway 61) near Burlington High School and Notre Dame Schools
