The Muskegon Humane Society (MHS) was founded in 1972 as a nonprofit animal rescue group
In 1980, they purchased their current property located in a residential neighborhood
Celebrated 50th anniversary in 2022 and took on an unplanned acquisition of a low-cost community animal clinic
Rebranded to Big Lake Community Animal Clinic with intention and cohesion to represent and serve an even larger community
