Founded by Dr. Daniel Adamson and his wife Cathy, a former registered nurse
Started as small animal practice with focus on general medicine, vaccines, small surgeries, and most testing outsourced to labs
Maintained an apartment on second floor of hospital for many years before moving to new home
1980 Graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine
Originally did small animal medicine and traveled to local farms to treat large animals too
Outgrew working space after 20 years so began adding onto the practice which was completed in 2004
Included three exam rooms, a large waiting/reception area, surgical suite, treatment area, x-ray capabilities and numerous kennels - Hired Dr. Vickey Brooks as associate veterinarian in 2004 who purchased the practice in 2009; created new company Catapuss Veterinary Services but kept name of practice as Adamson Veterinary Services - Added multiple services including two more veterinarians and additional staff; started offering daytime emergency care services
